Darlings, just a quick post for today – one that will hopefully make you smile :) I was scrolling through the HUNDREDS of images on my phone (mostly of Marli) and wanted to share these with you. Clearly the child is a babbling fool right now, but since she can’t form sentences yet, she is finding other ways to communicate with mama.

(I JUST noticed that she always uses her right arm…is this an early indicator that she will be right-handed? Interesting.) Babies are SO SO SO smart and I find myself talking to her ALL day long! I talk about anything and everything and it is amazing what she picks up on (verbal and nonverbal). I try to make rhymes and songs out of everything (and most of them are pretty ridiculous), but that’s how she learns ๐
Lately, I’ve been teaching her about animals and the sounds they make. She growls when I say “tiger” and it is the cutest thing ever. She will confidently say “BA BA” when I ask her about the sheep and she says “OH AH AH” when I talk about monkeys. (Hop on over to my Instagram HERE for a 15 second clip of her saying it and twerking haha!) I’ve also been teaching her to clean up after herself so before we leave Grandma’s house and/or head off to bed, I ask her to pick up and clean up her toys and will “help” her put away her things. And I think she finds it enjoyable because I make it out to be a fun game for her ๐
Lovelies, I hope you have a fantastic weekend and can’t wait to hear about it on Monday!

SUCH cute pointing pictures ๐ I’ve been talking to Kiernan a lot about the different colors, but that’s kind of a non-verbal thing on her part… Maybe I should work in the animals more often, because I would looooove to hear little responses like that!
Omg I can only imagine the responses u will get. Have ur video camera ready! ๐
She is the cutest! I love her little striped dress!
Thanks ashley! It was from H&M
Haha, her right arm, I die! That is so adorable.and one of my favorite stage is teaching them the animal sounds and having them make the sounds! ah, I guess every stage is my favorite stage, let’s be honest. ๐

Wow! Look at her standing! I think I need to up our homework and studying over here! Kaitlyn never tries to mimic animal sounds even though I’ve been doing them for months! Such a cutie and hopping over to IG now!

Hey Viv! I find that repetition helps a lot. Marli has been walking for a couple months now and seems like she wants to run now. Gosh, they grow up so fast.
Oh she is just too cute!!
